4. Media workshop - Tuesday, 14 August: "Getting the message out: How to communicate your research effectively through the media." In this workshop, researchers will learn how to craft their message to elicit public interest, how to use the appropriate forms of media to communicate their message beyond the traditional academic community, and how to give effective interviews with journalists. Participation in this workshop will be limited to 50 participants, and is open to anyone but preference will be given to students and early career professionals.
